OPEN POSITION: SR. Algorithm Engineer/Data Scientist

As a Sr. Algorithm Engineer / Data Scientist, you will take on challenges in areas that may include:

  • Create, develop, invent, validate and integrate sensor fusion algorithms for natural HMI device
  • Design and implementation of data collection experiments, algorithm development, integration, and verification of embedded platforms
  • Optimize motion algorithms to minimize processing time and allow results to be available in ‘real-time’
  • Contribute to the development of new/novel algorithms to recognize the pattern of activities/sports motions
  • From the feature definitions and higher level requirements, develop engineering requirements at both hardware and software
  • Conduct detailed analysis, simulation and testing of prototype and systems
  • Identify issues and provide resolutions and/or suggestions
  • Follow proper processes for requirements, software version and release control, and change management
  • Establish and develop relationships with collaborating suppliers and external entities to meet project goals
  • Evaluates and recommends options consistent with industry best practices
  • Stay current with industry and technical trends/developments affecting areas of responsibility


  • Master’s degree (or an equivalent degree) in Electrical, Computer, Robotics, Aero-Astro Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field of study
  • 3+ years’ experience in computer vision, motion and manipulation
  • Experience with Machine Learning
  • Expertise in C/C++, Python, Java, OpenGL, Matlab
  • Experience in one or more of the algorithm and filters related to sensor fusion
  • Experience in software optimization (in prototype and embedded target environment)
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, analytical and root cause skills
  • Ability to adapt to changes in a fast moving environment
  • Ability to build and manage relationships effectively in a fast moving environment
  • Ability to manage time and workload effectively which includes planning, organizing, and prioritizing with attention to details
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English


  • PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics or related field, with specialty in Sensor Fusion algorithms
  • Experience with embedded development platforms (Nvidia, Renesas, TI)
  • Experience with Bluetooth, WLAN (802.11b/g/n/ac), NFC
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in the wearable technology
